Dear friends,
Thank you for joining us for dinner last week. It was fun to celebrate Kurban Bayrami with most of TAACO and TSA members. You can see the pictures of the event by clicking here . I need to update you with a couple of events:

1- Turkish Lessons for Kids will take a break during December due to not having available room in UA library, our teacher Zekiye's final exams and holiday break. We will restart our lessons in January.

2- We will have a Turkish breakfast at Café Istanbul [Easton] on December 20th. We will start at 10:30am. Breakfast will cost $10/person. 3- We need you to renew your membership. It is only $20/family for the entire year. You can download the membership form by clicking here and mail it to the address provided on the same form. As of today, we have only 35 families who became a new member or renewed their membership for 2010. Dear friends,

We celebrated Republic Day and TAACO’s 40th birthday at Ohio Statehouse last Friday. I hope that everybody enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Related pictures can be viewed by clicking here . This event was organized through collaboration between TAACO and TSA groups. I appreciate all the help and hard work from both executive committees.

Dear Friends

We are celebrating both Turkish Republic Day and TAACO’s 40th Anniversary on October 30th, 2009. We reserved Ohio Statehouse in downtown Columbus for this event (please click here to see the details related to this venue at http://www.statehouse.state.oh.us ).

We are organizing a big event with several activities including flag raising ceremony, folklore team, guided tours, live music and slide show. We will also honor past TAACO’s presidents. As the current president, I strongly believe that it is time to restructure our association so it can be more active in cultural and social events and, have a voice. This should be important for all of us who try to keep a Turkish-American community alive in this city for ourselves, our friends but also for our children. Executive committee members are giving their time to organize and get ready for this special event with TAACO’s limited sources. I hope that you will support our efforts by joining us on REPUBLIC DAY ’S FLAG RAISING CEREMONY FOLLOWED BY BALL to celebrate Turkish Republic Day and TAACO’s 40th Anniversary.

Please find the invitation with specific information related to program, menu and registration. The deadline for registration is October 24th, 2009 and there will be no registration at the door for this event. We really like to see not only our members but their friends joining us for this event.
