TAACO executive committee had a relatively busy summer this year. On July 8th, 2010, we visited Congresswoman Mary Jo Kinroy’s office. Our members Mr. Cem Ozmeral and Mr. Unsal Yonak represented TAACO. They were joined to TASNO (Turkish American Society of Northeast Ohio)’s current president Mr. Suat Aricanli and ATAA’s (Assembly of Turkish American Associations) civil engagement director Mr. Yenel Kucuker. The aim of this meeting was to inform 15th Congressional District about Turkish American committee living in Ohio. ATAA is busy working on establishing a network called TABAN (Turkish American Board Advocacy Network) and TAACO is supporting ATAA’s related activities. I deeply appreciate the help I received from Mr. Ozmeral and Mr. Yonak for this meeting since I was not able to attend.
